Kyle Da Silva,
Quite predictably, in the Mountain View Adventist Academy Graduation Exercises 2018, he had featured as Valedictorian, winning awards in Ad. Math, Math, English A, Geography, Spanish, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Information Technology.
To all who are acquainted with the modest, unassuming young man, this highly admirable academic accomplishment comes as no surprise, except, perhaps to Kyle himself. He remained astounded for quite a few hours until the reality sank in that he had really and truly ‘gone and done it’. Finally came
Da Silva who had placed 7th in 2013 Common Entrance Exam has shown himself to be a very rounded individual, capable of maintaining that fine, delicate, balance so necessary for optimal performance. Kyle’s skill base varies widely and he excels in many things, so that, for the past two years Vincentians have seen him capture a prominent spot in the news for succeeding in curricular, extra-curricular or co-curricular undertakings.
In January 2017, Da Silva led both of his school’s teams competing in Mobile Application Category and in the Idea Category to first place in the NTRC I2 Secondary School Competition. Regionally, he emerged as 2017 winner of the OECS – ECCB Essay Writing Competition for Secondary Schools.
One would imagine that the level of engagement here was more than sufficient for a young secondary school student. But not for Kyle! A member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Yambou, he serves actively within the church as
