President's meetings are a usually a coming apart of the ministerial fraternity and Conference directors with a view to streamlining the overall impact and effectiveness of the work. Occasionally, former workers and administrators drop by to share their invaluable experience and counsel.
Jim Gilley, former president of 3ABN was the featured presenter of the President's meeting held on May 2, 2017 at the South Caribbean Conference compound. Also sharing his expertise at the meeting was Dr. Peter J. Prime, former president of the Caribbean Union Conference who was on the island as one of the guest presenters during the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Cleveland Temple church.
Pastor Gilley, (who was accompanied by his wife, Camille, on this their inaugural trip to the Caribbean), challenged the ministerial workers to embrace and never underestimate the value of one in the process and work of evangelism. With the use of anecdotes and personal testimonies Pastor Gilley identified several influential public evangelistic figures including Pastor Mark Finley and Dr. Billy Graham who experienced conversion to Christianity because of the committed efforts of one. Pastor Gilley himself has been an effective evangelist having witnessed over 15,000 baptisms while at the same time being responsible for the establishment of no less than 25 churches in the Ukraine where he worked for some 25 years.
His presentation was well received by the over eighty (80) individuals who were in attendance.
