The Caribbean Union Conference expresses its condolence with the passing of Pastor Livingstone Aaron who reportedly recently died in his sleep. Pastor Aaron was the pastor of the Stroudsburg district, which included the Stroudsburg, Pocono Grace, and Mount Pocono Haitian churches in the Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, United States.

Pastor Aaron was born in the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda. He graduated from Caribbean Union College (now University of the Southern Caribbean) in 1982 with a bachelor in theology and completed his masters of divinity from Andrews University in 1985. He was ordained as a minister in 1990. Antiguans are familiar with several notable Adventist families including the Aaron family, who have served the Adventist Church in the Caribbean Union with distinction.  Pastor Aaron began his gospel ministry in the Caribbean Union, firstly in the North Caribbean Conference and later served as the CURF Director in the Caribbean Union Conference. Pastor Aaron migrated to the United States and last served in the Pennsylvania Conference of Seventh-day Adventists since 2013.

“Pastor Aaron was a man of strength and wisdom,” shares President of the Pennsylvania Conference, Gary Gibbs. “He served God faithfully, loved his family, and cared deeply for his church families. He was a valued member of the conference executive committee. We are grateful for his ministry and his impact on the lives of those he served. He will be greatly missed.”

Dr Kern Tobias, President of the Caribbean Union Conference, expressed support for the Aaron family in the following statement. "The Caribbean Union Conference is shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Pastor Aaron. He was the Director of the Caribbean Union Revolving Fund (CURF). He was responsible for the growth and viability of the fund. We convey to his wife Cynthia and his family our deepest sympathy and assure them of our prayers. We are confident that his works will follow him, as we await the glorious return of our Savior, Jesus Christ".
