Cole Bay Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church’s Choir Day was held, once again, on January 18, 2020, entitled "Faithful to the End". The event was originally slated for December, 2019; however, due to the protest taking place on the French side of the island, at the time, Choir Day was rescheduled. The goal of Choir Day is for Cole Bay to host interested choirs around the island (SDA and non-SDA) for a few hours of fellowship, praise, and worship.
Various choirs, groups, a duet, and a soloist performed. Among the participants were the Cole Bay Church Choir, the SDA School Choir, the Honore Family, Derek Paka (soloist), the Philipsburg SDA Choir, Fambeau Devin, the Good News SDA Church Choir, the Cole Bay Intermediate Choir, Sister Devine and Brother Kelron (duet), Advent Music Ministry, Trio, and the St. Peter’s SDA Choir.
The event was streamed, live, by the Cole Bay SDA Church's Communications team. Many guests were in attendance and each act of praise and worship, by the singers, received great appreciation from the congregation. The MC for the evening was Sister Tammie Marsham who kept the evening flowing smoothly, while interjecting short testimonies and spiritual encouragement.
After the concert, refreshments were served in the multi-purpose room for all participants, members, and guests in attendance. The event was a nice opportunity to fellowship. Choir days are highly anticipated and create opportunities for evangelism. Guests remarked that they felt uplifted at the end of the event. This reminds us that giving the Lord, glory, honor, and praise, will affect us spiritually, and having a guest experience this at a Choir Day or any spiritual event is an opportunity for evangelism that can be built on.
