On Thursday, March 28, 2019, a group of 31 individuals departed for a retreat on the sea. The teachers of the Seventh-day Adventist Schools across the South Leeward Mission departed the V.C. Bird International Airport for Guadeloupe to board the Costa Magica on a Caribbean cruise to Tobago, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia and Martinique.
The cruise was fantastic as had the opportunity in Guadeloupe, to visited the Conference Office and also met the president, treasurer and executive secretary. They also had the opportunity to do an interview on the Guadeloupe Radio station. They also visited the Seventh-day Adventist pre-school and the high school. In Martinique, the teachers visited the conference office and the Seventh-day Adventist school.
Visiting other institutions on the islands was not the only thing the teachers did. The cruise was a fun cruise and one where stars shone brightly. While on the board there was a voice competition and our very own Michelle George, from the Antigua Seventh-day Adventist Secondary School, won that competition. The teachers remarked that they were on a French cruise with little English spoken, but they had a tremendous experience. God is good!
