Let us ever keep before our consciousness the importance of taking nothing for granted in this life. In a period when so many people choose to continue to be reckless in behavior notwithstanding the risks, God continues to preserve us so don't take God's protection for granted.

Have you taken the time to consider that we go to bed nightly and remain oblivious to the elements around us due to unconsciousness? Yet we awake out of sleep and without skipping a beat resume normal daily routines forgetting that thousands never had such an experience. Take nothing for granted.

Fave you considered that some people choose to plot our destruction and we oftentimes continue to be true to ourselves without spending a thought about negativity of others. Yet out of the blue someone calls just to remind you that they are praying for you and you express gratitude knowing that someone is praying for you. Take nothing for granted for it is the silent prayers of others that very often preserve us from destruction.

Have you considered that there are many things that we have and many more that we will like to have which keep us so focused on getting more that we forget to be thankful for what we have. Yet there are so many individuals who would have been so contented with just a small fraction of what we have just to experience some measure of happiness. Let's not take what we have for granted for there are countless persons who would be so contented if only a fraction of what we have was theirs.

Have you ever seen people going about life looking and behaving as though everything is ok. However as you interact with them you realize that in spite of the tough experiences that they may be going through, they choose to rise above the fray and live their lives with joy. Let us not take for granted our blessings.

Have you considered that the food you choose to throw away because of the taste which is inconsistent with your expectations is the very meal that a hungry person will relish? We waste so much not sparing a thought that even the crumbs left at the table can be a meal to prevent starvation. Yet we continue to take for granted what we have without appreciating the blessings that are wrapped inside.

I am so thankful for the seemingly small things in life including health, family, friends, peace of mind, hope, faith, positive disposition to life and the blessed hope.

I choose to live a life of appreciation for all my experiences while taking nothing for granted. I am grateful that although I may not have everything, I lack nothing. What about you? Have a blessed Sabbath.
