Seventh-day Adventists are devoted to helping people understand the Bible to find freedom, healing, and hope in Jesus.

Discover more about our Church and its global mission.

The Adventist Church is a Christian denomination distinguished by our belief in a literal, visible Second Coming of Christ and that the Sabbath is God's true biblical Sabbath and is still relevant today as it was in the Old Testament. Our beliefs are based solely on scripture, our roadmap for living. We believe the Bible is God's voice that speaks of His Love in the past and is genuinely the same today.

Our Beliefs

The Church expresses its beliefs in twenty-eight (28) fundamental beliefs that can be organised into six categories—the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last-day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity. « WHAT WE BELIEVE »

Our History

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is the largest of several Adventist groups which arose from the Millerite movement in the United States during the middle of the 19th century and were formally established in 1863. Among its founders was Ellen G. White, whose extensive writings have been a valued blessing to the global Church for over 100 years. « DISCOVER OUR HISTORY »

Structure

The Adventist church uses a representative form of governance. This simply means members of local churches elect representative bodies and officers to carry out the day-to-day work of the church. Each level is formed and elected democratically and manages the various Church institutions within five (5)  levels of governance. These are the local church, Conferences & Missions, Unions & Union Missions, Division and finally the General Conference.
