Our Work

Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries seeks to establish a worldwide network of Adventist chaplains who responsibly care for the spiritual health of those in their care. Chaplains provide emotional and spiritual counselling to those within their care. .Adventist chaplains enhance the mission outreach of the church, validating the authenticity of its pastoral ministry.

Chaplains are trained spiritual leaders who take care of students in schools, academies, colleges and universities, health care institutions, and military and correctional institutions.  In the Caribbean Union, chaplaincy services are largely provided by lay persons with a few ministers serving in these areas across our Union.

The Public Campus Ministries promotes and supports initiatives to meet the spiritual, intellectual, and social needs of Adventist students on public campuses within our union territory.

The department seeks to:

  • Strengthen the faith commitment of Adventist students
  • Prepare Adventist students to deal with intellectual challenges in a secular environment.
  • Develop the leadership abilities of students.
  • Provide students with opportunities for Christian fellowship.
  • Train students for outreach, service, and witness on their campuses and their communities.
