ADRA CARU is a registered Non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. Its Mission is to work with at-risk and disadvantaged persons to create sustainable and positive changes, through the implementation of strategies and actions that are environmentally friendly, and socio-economically viable, and foster collaboration, partnerships and personal and spiritual growth and development.

Our Work

ADRA CARU’s vision is a Caribbean society where the basic needs for access to safe and nutritious foods, water, sanitation, health services, primary education, shelter and housing, and social justice for at-risk and disadvantaged persons are met, in order to realize measurable and durable changes in individual lives, families, and members of the wider Caribbean society.

Some activities of this ministry include:

  • Training for ADRA field directors
  • Development and deployment of National Emergency Management Plans (NEMPs) within the various countries of the Union.
  • Participation in disaster and emergency response across the varied nations in the Caribbean Union.
  • Continued development and training of ADRA volunteers across the CARU regions.
