Purpose: Ministering to the spiritual, emotional, physical and social needs of women around our Union.

Focus: Nurture, Empowerment and Outreach.

Our Work

Women's Ministries is a place to address the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs of women in the church. Women have many Gifts of the Spirit, and our sub-entities facilitate an environment to help women discover and use these gifts to the glory of God.

The ministry is also a support system for hurting women—whether they are suffering from divorce, abuse or simply loneliness. The Department promotes programs to mentor young women to become the best they can be as God leads their lives. Across the Union, women are encouraged to become involved in all areas of ministry in their church, their community, and in their homes.

The department’s work and support include

  • Providing avenues for support to cope with human challenges that affect our women, such as emotional health and women’s health issues.
  • Encouraging and supporting women to be involved and participate in avenues of ministry to other women and the wider community.
  • Support and equip conferences and missions to provide opportunities for creative and dynamic Christian service for the women of our faith.
  • Encourage participation in national women's issues such as participation in Breast Cancer Awareness month.
  • Facilitate and promote GEMS (Girls of Excellence and Moral Standards) programs
